Charles J. March Sr. earned his license from the Illinois Commerce Commission in 1957. He hailed from a large family of 8 boys and 7 girls, with all the boys starting their careers in the moving industry. His father, Percy March, and father-in-law, Heber Davis, both retired from the moving business in the late 1950s.
Charles Sr. also had a large family: Bob, Jim, Jerry, John, Chuck Jr., and Cammie, all of whom worked in the family business at some point. In 1990, Chuck Jr. took over the company and has been running it ever since. Charles Sr. often visited job sites to ensure that furniture was properly padded and secured with rubber bands.
